October Prime Day is finally here, and i f you've been thinking of scoring a new PlayStation 5 during, this is your chance. Both versions of the PlayStation Slim went on sale at their lowest prices ever, according to price-checking tools . The Slim Digital Edition was $399.99 (originally $449.99)?but it recently sold out. (Keep tabs on the link in case it comes back in stock.) But the Slim console is discounted to $449 (originally $499.99), and that is currently still in stock.
This is the cheapest both of these consoles have been on Amazon. As PlayStation fans will tell you, supply rarely meets demand when these consoles drop in price like this (the Anniversary Editions sold out almost immediately). Either console will include the DualSense Wireless Controller and Astro?s Playroom already pre-installed. The price drop is likely due to the impending release of the new PS5 Pro , which you can pre-order right now for its Nov. 7 release date.
Sony keeps regularly updating the PS5 , with the latest features allowing the users you choose to connect to your console via Remote Play, personalized 3D audio profile, and automatically pausing charging when your connected controllers have reached an appropriate charge level, and other updates.
If you already have the older PS5 and are wondering about upgrading to the slim version, keep in mind that it offers more than just a sleeker design (about 30% slimmer, according to IGN's review ). The PS5 Slim also has 1TB of internal storage space, which results in an additional 181GB of usable space when compared to the original PS5. This addresses two of the biggest cons of the original PS5: the bulkiness and lack of storage space compared to the Xbox Series X.
