Bills vs. Jets DFS Picks: Best DraftKings, FanDuel lineups and props for MNF primetime showdown

Another great primetime divisional battle lies ahead of NFL fans this evening, as four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Jets host MVP candidate Josh Allen and the Bills on Monday Night Football (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).

If you're assembling a DFS lineup for this AFC East clash, the Sporting News has the optimal lineups, studs, sleepers, and strategy to help make you some daily fantasy cash.

Jets fans have experienced quite a wild first five weeks of the '24 season. New York has put together two strong wins, a couple ugly losses, and a tough-luck L in a defensive battle.

Gang Green will now move forward without recently-fired head coach Robert Saleh, as Jeff Ulbrich assumes interim HC duties and Todd Downing replaces Nathaniel Hackett as the primary offensive play-caller.

Through all the turbulence, New York will leapfrog Buffalo with a win tonight. It will be a tall task, sure, but it certainly wouldn't be the craziest thing we've seen on a Monday Night Football game.

Rodgers should be motivated. As many remember, the future Hall-of-Famer got injured four snaps into his Jets tenure in New York's 2023 season-opener against these very same Bills.

If you're assembling a DFS lineup for this primetime clash, the Sporting News has the optimal lineup, studs, sleepers, and strategy to help make you some daily fantasy cash. Let's get right to it, listing our DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft squads ahead of the Bengals vs. Giants on Sunday Night Football.

Bills vs. Jets NFL DFS picks: Optimal DraftKings lineup

Before we get into our lineup and strategy, here are the key scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: They're full-point PPR, and they feature three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player's original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

POS. PLAYER TEAM/OPP. SALARY Captain Breece Hall, RB Jets vs. Bills $14,100 FLEX Josh Allen, QB Bills at Jets $11,000 FLEX Aaron Rodgers, QB Jets vs. Bills $9,000 FLEX Allen Lazard, WR Jets vs. Bills $7,200 FLEX Braelon Allen, RB Jets vs. Bills $5,400 FLEX Ray Davis, RB Bills at Jets $3,000

Captain: Breece Hall, RB, Jets ($14,100)

It's a safe assumption that new Jets offensive play-caller Todd Downing will make Breece Hall and the run game a priority. He's the Jets' most dynamic playmaker, and yet through five weeks he has just one game above 54 rushing yards. He also hasn't scored in three weeks, which seems to go hand-in-hand with New York averaging 13 points per game over its past two contests.

If ever there was a time for a 'get-right' game, it's tonight. Buffalo has allowed the most fantasy points in the NFL to the running back position, most recently surrendering 134 all-purpose yards and a touchdown to Texans backs in Week 5. Fire Breece up in the Captain's chair.

FLEX 1: Josh Allen, QB, Bills ($11,000)

Allen's our only Bill tonight, and we're not worried one bit about that. He's the main man in Buffalo, and he consistently shows out in primetime and on the road year in and year out.

Allen also spreads the ball out well and takes what the defense gives him, so we're not worried about any one Bills playmaker outside of him going off. Khalil Shakir and James Cook are both questionable, so don't be surprised if the QB takes matters into his own hands on a couple scoring chances.

FLEX 2: Aaron Rodgers, QB, Jets ($9,000)

Rodgers has endured a bumpy ride in his first *official* season as the Jets' signal-caller. Many will focus entirely on his three-interception day last week against the Vikings last week, or his zero-TD performance against the Broncos a week prior.

However, optimists will point to the fact that ARodg has racked up 244-plus yards in two of the past three weeks and thrown two TDs in three of the past four. That matters! With New York expected to be playing from behind, it's a safe assumption that Rodgers has a 15-point floor and a ceiling in the low 20s.

FLEX 3: Allen Lazard, WR, Jets ($7,200)

Everyone loves Garrett Wilson, and for good reason, but give Rodgers some truth serum and he'd probably say that he loves Allen Lazard almost as much. And considering the Lazard King comes $2,800 cheaper, we love him more.

Before Wilson's 32 DK points in Minnesota last week, he had point totals of 12, 10, 14 and eight. Lazard, meanwhile, started the season with 26.9 points in Santa Clara and came out of the past three games with 13.4, 10.8 and 13.8. Give us the dependable floor of the veteran over the flashy name who doesn't always flash.

FLEX 4: Braelon Allen, RB, Jets ($5,400)

Allen's not just a rushing TD insurance policy for Breece Hall investors ? he's arguable the most valuable handcuff in fantasy. If anything happens to Hall ? injury, fumble issues, demotion ? the rookie will swoop in and capitalize.

Allen's averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 9.0 yards per reception (Hall's averages: 3.0 YPC, 7.0 YPR). The Jets could be closer to a split backfield than Breece truthers would care to admit.

FLEX 5: Ray Davis, RB, Bills ($3,000)

We're rolling the dice on rookie sleeper Davis on the assumption that James Cook will be sidelined for this game, but if Cook plays we might pivot to Bills wideout Mack Hollins here. Both are very talented, but Davis should have more opportunities if the lead back sits.

Bills vs. Jets NFL DFS picks: Optimal FanDuel lineup

Here are the key scoring settings for FanDuel single-game tournaments: They're half-point PPR with three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, or 100 receiving yards. The MVP pick multiplies that player's total by 1.5 but does not cost 1.5 times their listed salary.

POS. PLAYER TEAM/OPP. SALARY MVP Josh Allen, QB Bills at Jets $16,500 FLEX Breece Hall, RB Jets vs. Bills $13,500 FLEX Allen Lazard, WR Jets vs. Bills $10,500 FLEX Keon Coleman, WR Bills at Jets $10,000 FLEX Braelon Allen, RB Jets vs. Bills $9,500

We feel super excited about this well-balanced roster, with Allen at the MVP helm since QB points carry more value on FD formats.

Hall and Allen against the most generous run defense in fantasy are both no-brainers. Lazard could easily be the top receiver in this game if Garrett Wilson gets blanketed and Khalil Shakir sits.

The latter part would also open up opportunities for the rookie wideout Coleman, who has yet to have a breakout game but clearly has big talent.

Bills vs. Jets NFL DFS picks: Optimal SuperDraft lineup

For those unfamiliar, SuperDraft's DFS scoring involves point multipliers as opposed to traditional salary-capped or tiered contests. A winning lineup will likely feature a strong mix of stud fantasy contributors with 1x-1.6x boosts, as well as matchup-based sleepers with larger multipliers. Each player is assigned a scoring multiplier based on their value as determined by SuperDraft. Users can roster any player in their lineup with no restrictions.

Here are the most notable scoring rules for SuperDraft NFL contests: Half-point PPR, four-point passing TDs, and two-point bonuses for 100 rushing yards, 100 receiving yards, and 300 passing yards. SuperDraft lineups feature no D/ST position. The "Champ" position adds a 50-percent boost to the selected player, while the SuperFlex positions are limited to the boost listed for each player.

POSITION PLAYER GAME BOOST CHAMP Allen Lazard, WR Jets vs. Bills 2.1x SFLEX Josh Allen, QB Bills at Jets 1x SFLEX Breece Hall, RB Jets vs. Bills 1.15x SFLEX Braelon Allen, RB Jets vs. Bills 1.55x SFLEX Mack Hollins, WR Bills at Jets 1.95x

MORE SUPERDRAFT DFS: How to play SuperDraft

Our SuperDraft lineup features many of the same names we listed in our DK and FD lineups, only we opted for Lazard in the Champ's chair with the extra multiplier. A high-floor/high-ceiling guy with a 2.1-times boost in a pass-heavy game script, the Lazard King sold himself.

Hollins is the wild card ? if he and Lazard both score, we're almost assured a cash prize given the dependable floors and high upside of Hall and the two Allens.
