A new era begins in Lexington. Kentucky basketball will start fresh this season.

After 15 years under John Calipari, the Bluegrass Blue Bloods will be lead by a new coach. Four straight seasons without a conference championship or NCAA tournament run past the second round meant Mark Pope got the call to try to lead the Wildcats back to domination.

And Pope knows a thing or two about success at Kentucky. The former Wildcat won two SEC Championships and a national title while in Lexington. It'll be a challenge, though, as he takes over his alma mater with a near-completely new squad.
