Jaguars reportedly trade veteran defensive tackle to Seahawks as sell season begins

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to the NFL's first trade of the 2024 regular season.

Jacksonville is sending veteran defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026, ESPN reported on Monday evening.

Roberton-Harris is a former undrafted free agent who originally signed with the Chicago Bears. He's spent the past three-plus seasons with the Jaguars, appearing in all 17 games for Jacksonville in 2023 and 2022.

The former UTEP standout started 2024 as a starter but has seen his role decline in recent weeks. In six games for the Jags this season, Roberton-Harris recorded seven total tackles and two sacks.

This could be a sign that the 1-5 Jaguars are open for business now weeks away from the NFL?s Nov. 5 trade deadline.
