What happened when thugs raided Kathanthatu secondary?

While speaking to TUKO.co.ke the senior Assistant Chief Joseph Muthuri confirmed the tragic incident, stating that a second watchman was critically injured and has since been transported to Nkubu Consolata Mission Hospital for treatment.

Chief Muthuri stated that suspected thieves broke into four school offices during the night, stealing items whose value and nature have yet to be determined.

"The situation is still under investigation, and we are working to determine what exactly was stolen during the robbery," he said.

The chief further described the scene, indicating that evidence of a violent struggle was apparent in the school compound.

"Blood stains were found, indicating the fierce struggle the watchmen had with the thugs before one was fatally wounded and the other seriously injured," Muthuri explained.

Authorities are treating the case as a priority as the community grapples with the shock of the attack.

"This is a tragic event for the school and the entire community," the chief added. "We will work closely with the police to ensure those responsible are brought to justice."

Investigations are ongoing, and police have assured residents that they are making every effort to locate and apprehend the suspects.

"We are confident that we will make progress in this case soon," Muthuri concluded.
