A strong tornado ripped through the city of Rio Bonito do Igua?u in southern Brazil on Friday, severely damaging properties and vehicles.

At least six people were killed and at least 750 injured in the tornado, authorities said.

A state of calamity was declared by the State of Paran? on Saturday and authorities confirmed that 80% of the city was left destroyed.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Paran? Fire Department, Jonas Emmanuel Benghi Pinto, told Brazilian media that the scene in Rio Bonito do Igua?u was similar to "war".
