Morara, widely known for his civic education initiatives and efforts to expose stalled government projects nationwide made these remarks shortly after Gachagua accused the government of being responsible for deaths caused by illicit brews in the region.
"I don?t agree with Gachagua on many things, but what he is saying here is very true. There has been a deliberate effort by state cabals to allow and encourage the manufacture, distribution, and sale of poisonous alcohol in the Mount Kenya region," Kebaso alleged in an X post which he has since
Which areas deliberately sell illicit alcohol?
He recounted his experiences in Kiambu county, stating that the problem has persisted for years.
"I saw this in Kiambu county during my university days. Recently, I?ve also seen this in an area called Ndeiya," he claimed.
Kebaso accused specific individuals and institutions of being aware of the issue.
He asserted that everyone in the Ministry of Interior and Vigilance House, including cleaners and plumbers is aware of the sale and consumption of alcohol in the region.
Directing his remarks to Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, Kebaso urged action.
"This is a fact, and we all know it is. Just fix it?don?t defend it."
How did Raymond Omollo respond to Gachagua's claims?
Meanwhile, PS Omollo had previously responded to Gachagua's claims, terming them ludicrous and mischievous.
Omollo noted that the former DP was making an offence by linking the government to tragedies caused by the consumption of illicit brew.
He urged Gachagua to make formal complaints accompanied by evidence for the government to address the issues raised.
