A controversial article emerged online claiming the government was planning to increase the entry grade from the current C+ to B-.
The article claimed that the Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Ogamba, had announced the changes during a press briefing, sparking widespread concern among the public.
?This announcement marks a departure from the traditional university entry grade of C+, which has been the standard for years,? the article stated.
However, on Monday, December 23, Ogamba dismissed the reports, describing them as false and misleading.
The Education CS called on parents and students to disregard information that does not come through the ministry's official channels.
"We urge Kenyans to rely on official communication from the Ministry of Education and disregard sensationalised or fabricated reports,? Ogamba stated.
The ministry also shared the controversial article on its X page and labelled it fake.
