The Kisii County Public Service Board advertised 110 jobs for Kenyan job seekers under its health department

How to apply for Kisii county jobs

In an advert shared on its Facebook page on Tuesday, April 2, the devolved unit asked interested and suitable candidates to submit their applications by Wednesday, April 23.

The Kisii County Public Service Board noted that applicants should submit their academic and professional certificates through its secretary or hand deliver them to its offices along Kisii-Kilgoris Road near the Kisii Cathedral Junction Road.

"Interested applicants who meet the job requirements specified above should submit hard copy applications including a cover letter, curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic certificates and testimonials, national identity, their active telephone numbers and email addresses, to reach on or before Wednesday, April 23, at 5:00pm," the advert stated.

Which jobs did Kisii county declare?

1. Medical officers - 10 positions

Medical officers will play a key role in hospitals and health centres' provision of preventative and curative healthcare services.

They will manage inpatient and outpatient care, take part in clinical diagnostics and guide other medical professionals.

2. Dental officer

The holder shall diagnose, treat, and prevent dental and oral health issues in patients in the county's medical facilities.

3. Pharmacists - two positions

Pharmacists will supervise the delivery of pharmaceutical services and encourage the prudent use of medications across the county.

4. Registered clinical officers - 23 positions

At the community and facility levels, enrolled clinical officers will offer diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare services.

They will evaluate injuries and illnesses and treat patients.

5. Pharmaceutical technologists III - 10 positions

They will help pharmacists make sure that pharmaceutical supplies and services are handled, distributed, and dispensed correctly.

Additional responsibilities include keeping an eye on expiration dates and drug rotation.

6. Orthopaedic trauma technologist III

To support orthopaedic care, the orthopaedic trauma technologist will offer technical assistance in the use of casts, traction, and other musculoskeletal support techniques.

7. Medical laboratory technologists III ? 12 posts

They will be crucial in supporting patient care and disease surveillance by offering laboratory diagnostic services.

8. Registered nurses/midwives - 45 positions

They will offer antenatal, labour, and postnatal care to mothers and newborns.

9. Enrolled nurse - five posts

Under the direction of senior nursing staff, they will support the delivery of nursing services in county hospitals and health clinics.

Which jobs did the Ministry of Health advertise?

In related news, under the Universal Healthcare (UHC) programme, the Ministry of Health requested applications from Kenyans for 55 open positions.

Successful candidates will be hired on two-year renewable contracts and will work at the State Department of Medical Services.

The ministry posted job openings for drivers, engineers, accountants, and health informatics officers, among others.
