Harambee Stars Drop in Latest FIFA Rankings After Gambia and Gabon Games

Kenya have dropped three spots in the latest FIFA rankings after disappointing performances in the March international break.

Kenya is now ranked 111th in the FIFA rankings dated April 3, 2025, which comes after the first international break of the year.

In Africa, Kenya is ranked 27th, behind neighbours Tanzania and Uganda.

In March, Kenya salvaged an epic 3-3 draw against the Gambia and then lost to Gabon at home in the World Cup qualifiers.

Benni McCarthy was in charge for the two matches and although the performances were promising, failure to win dented their hopes of reaching the 2026 World Cup.

2025 Africa Cup of Nations hosts Morocco are top in Africa followed by Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Ivory Coast.

Defending World Cup champions Argentina are top of the FIFA rankings after an incredible run of form. European champions Spain are second.
