She prayed for God's grace upon her life, adding that she thanks Him for her existence.

As if that was not enough, she urged Samia to continue doing her best, adding that God will do the rest.

She ended by noting that the president was the people's pride, sentiments that are not widely shared by many Tanzanians following recent protests.

"Our pride @samia_suluhu_hassan. Neema ya Mungu ikutoshe mama. Tuna mtukuza Mungu kwa ajili yako. Do the best of human ability and God will do the rest. You are indeed our pride. Amen," she wrote.

Her message upset many Tanzanians and Kenyans, who jumped into her comment section, sharing their views.

Some netizens even called for her 'cancellation', asking why she subtly called out William Ruto in her song 'Zakayo Shuka', yet remains silent about her own president.

Boniface Mwangi and Agatha Atuhaire alleged torture

Just weeks back, Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi and his Ugandan counterpart Agatha Atuhaire accused the Tanzanian government of torture.

The two were part of a team of activists that had gone to Tanzania in time for a court hearing over the case of the country's opposition leader, Tundu Lissu.

The politician was being presented in court over treason claims over his remarks towards Suluhu and his demand for reforms in the electoral commission.

While the rest were deported, Mwangi and Agatha faced cruel treatment from Tanzanian authorities and were later abandoned at each one's country's borders, living to tell their sad experience.
