Which is the paybill to support Alfred Ojwang's family?

However, what began as a united front of goodwill has since spiralled into uncertainty.

One of the earliest fundraisers was initiated by human rights activist Hanifa Farsafi, who publicly shared a paybill under the name Albert Ojwang Fund, claiming it was the official one sanctioned by the family.

She shared the paybill number: 4699944, account number Albert Omondi Ojwang Fund, ralling Kenyans to support.

However, comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi, who had initially asked Kenyans to send money directly to Ojwang?s father's number, also launched a separate paybill after allegedly being overwhelmed by the response.

Omondi is now continuing to rally his fanbase and supporters under his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative to contribute using the new paybill details he shared online.

This dual effort has now triggered confusion, especially after Hanifa posted a strongly-worded update accusing Eric of causing unnecessary chaos.

?I hate to do this. This family is mourning, they?re in pain and haven?t rested a bit. They have clarified about the paybill and it?s the one they gave me and I posted. No one knows about any other paybill, even the family," she wrote.

She alleged the family was being taken in circles despite already confirming which paybill they recognised.

"Eric Omondi took the family around I don?t know doing what today , I?ve been communicating with the family the entire day and they?ve just been taken round and round despite clarifying that there?s only one paybill. My God, please let?s let this family have their rest. They said they don?t want to be involved in anyone?s mileage or ulterior motives.," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Omondi insisted his fundraiser is still valid, urging Kenyans to send their contributions.

"I am calling upon Tam Sisi kwa Sisi to make history with this one. Let us raise KSh 10 million to finalise the house that Albert had started to build his Mother. Let us also secure Albert?s Sons future. We can slso open a business for the wife," he wrote.

He added the account details: Paybill number: 247247, account number: 488987 under the name The Late Albert Ojwang Fund.

His post has only deepened the public?s confusion, with many now calling for clarity to avoid misdirection or manipulation of a good cause during.
