How did Eric Omondi help Albert Ojwang's family?

Eric stepped in to rally Kenyans to support Albert's family.

When he shared Albert's dad, Meschack Opiyo's M-Pesa number, Kenyans responded quickly, and the M-Pesa reached its limit.

He again shared his second number and that too reached its limits.

The comedian also bought Albert's mother, Eaucabeth Ojwang and his wife Nivenine Onyango, and the two M-Pesa also got overwhelmed.

Kenyans had urged him to set up a paybill number for them, and the comedian heeded their call.

In a new video, he revealed he had secured a paybill number and challenged Kenyans to raise KSh 10 million for them.

Albert Ojwang's mother request to Kenyans

In the clip, Albert's mum pleaded with Kenyans to build her a house, saying his fallen son had plans of building her a house.

"I'm pleading with Kenyans to help me build a house. He (Albert) was planning to build for me. He had brought bricks and was also doing small-scale farming to support us. Now I am left stranded. I didn't know how we would raise his young son. He was the only child and right now I can't get another child," she said.

Captioning the clip, Eric urged them to support the family to finalise the house that Albert had started, secure a future for his son and set a business for his wife.

"Hey guys, sorry it took us the whole to come up with the paybill. We had to include the immediate family members in the paybill i.e the mother, the wife and the father. I am calling upon Team Sisi Kwa Sisi to make history with this one. Let?s raise 10 million to finalise the house that Albert had started to build for his mother, let's also secure Albert?s son's future, and we can also open a business for the wife. The paybill number is 247247 and the account number is 488987 account name is the late Albert Ojwang fund. Let's do this!!! God bless you."

Albert Ojwang's autopsy report

On Tuesday, June 10, pathologist Bernard Midia revealed that Albert died due to head injuries and neck compression.

Midia confirmed that the injuries were consistent with torture and assault, ruling out the possibility of self-inflicted harm.

This new finding contradicts the police's initial report, which claimed that Albert had hit his head on the walls of his cell.

Following the revelations, many Kenyans are now calling for the arrest of those responsible for the young blogger's tragic death.
