She found a pencil-written letter from their Grade 8 son, which left her puzzled because of its content.

It was a confession letter the boy had written about his relationship experiences and an alleged case of substance use.

"Kindly advise me. My son in Grade 8 was writing this letter last night while he had locked himself in his bedroom," read the caption.

Grade 8 boy claims Esther gave him paper to smoke

The boy opened up about a day he consumed a substance, though he did not give many details about it.

He was writing the letter to his friend, whose name he did not disclose, as he confided in him.

"I write this letter to apologize for an incident that happened in school last week. It was Esther who gave me the paper to smoke, and because of my stupidity, I smoked it. I apologize, and I promise you that such a thing will never happen again. Please forgive me. Even you?someone, somewhere?has been forgiven before, because everyone deserves a second chance. Please forgive me, because you never know. Today it?s me, tomorrow it could be you," he wrote.

Morgan interested in Megan of Grade 6

He then delved into his relationship life, which he wanted to clarify in the pencil-written note.

He began with news about a girl he had loved and how the relationship started and ended.

"I also wanted to explain to you what you?ve been wanting to know lately. First, let me start with Megan. Megan was my first girlfriend in this school, and we started dating in Grade 5, third term. It went well up to Grade 6. I was not the only one interested in her?others were too. This boy called Morgan was also interested, but I won. Then, in Grade 6, first term, she transferred to another school," he narrated.

It was not the end of the road for his romantic experiences in school, as there was another potential interest.

Kenyan boy opens up on relationship with Joy Vanita

However, he admitted he was not as interested or invested in the second girl as he was in Megan.

"When I was in Grade 7, this girl called Joy Vanita wanted me, but I was not interested in her. I just didn?t want to tell her, because she would have felt bad. But I also never told her that I loved her. For her, our relationship lasted about three weeks. The rest of the time, she was just a friend to me."

After her, there was a girl in Grade 9, and he recounted how that relationship started.

"One day, while I was in the field playing football, she said, ?My boyfriend,? and I replied jokingly, ?Yes.? From that day, we started calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. So it wasn?t even a serious relationship," he added.
