Daddy Marto and his wife, Koku Lwanga, got married in 2018, but they have been together for 10 years

Koku has announced their breakup in a series of Instastories, accusing the actor of physically assaulting her after confronting him and his other woman

Veteran actor Martin Githinji, popularly known as Daddy Marto, and his wife Koku Lwanga have parted ways after seven years of marriage.

Why Koku Lwanga is leaving Daddy Marto

Koki took to her Instagram pages to share the breakup news and raise allegations against her hubby.

She claimed that Marto was cheating on her, and upon confronting him and his woman, she was beaten.

"I know I was not perfect, but I tried. I used to be so '10 toes down' for you even your family complained saying, 'she owns Marto' as if I ever stopped access to you. And after all, what is wrong about being that way about your husband. But alas, I was alone. My biggest pain is to be so disempowered, I had to swallow so much just to be where my children are. To take up so much just to endure and be where they are," she said.

Koku also claimed that Marto made her pay rent in their house and their nanny because she could not leave.

Lwanga accuses Marto of cheating on her

She recalled a time they were out and claimed Marto hurriedly dropped them so he could go and see his other woman.

"I remember last year when you wanted to leave the first time and I tried to work on it and you said I wanted the marriage too much. You were tight. I thought you said I was smothering with all the pandering I was doing to save my marriage. You had already moved on. No wonder there was nothing I did that was good enough. Nothing, you found fault in every effort and attempt I made at solving things. If only you would have been honest," she added.

She alleged that the actor claimed he did not have money, yet he was going on dates with his other woman.

"You literally can build with a man, dedicate all, give all and in a blink you will be reduced to nothing in his eyes. You become as fickle as a paper in the wind. You become a burden, you become something he loathes and wishes away. You become disposable. Oh life, how cruel can you get. I have been depressed and suicidal. Honestly I am not okay. I am frozen. Not knowing if I should go get a P3 or just sit in my shock with my swollen neck and shoulders," she added.

Marto speaks about building his home

In 2024, the actor shared a clip showing the home he was building and lamented the challenges he was dealing with.

He was managing the completion of his mother-in-law's home, and shared that the project started in 2019 but was yet to be wrapped up.

He only showed the outside part of the huge house and the lush compound surrounding it.
