The celebrated billionaire, a well-known polo enthusiast, died during a polo match in Windsor, England, aged 53.

The incident occurred on Thursday, June 12, during a match that Kapur?s polo team, captained by Mark Tomlinson, was playing Sujan Indian Tigers in the subsidiary final of the Queen?s Cup.

How did Kapur die while playing polo?

According to The Telegraph, witnesses heard Kapur shout about ingesting something moments before collapsing.

"I?ve swallowed something," Kapur allegedly shouted moments before going down on the field.

It is believed that a bee stung the billionaire in the mouth, triggering a fatal anaphylactic shock.

Another close associate, speaking to The Mirror, described the moment as surreal and sudden, stating that they were enjoying the match.

"He was full of life, laughing, joking, then gone in an instant," the source said, revealing the shock felt by those who knew him.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.

The reaction causes the immune system to release chemicals that can send the body into shock, dropping blood pressure, narrowing airways, and obstructing breathing.

Insect stings, particularly from bees, are among the most common triggers of anaphylactic shock. Despite swift medical attention, Kapur could not be revived.

What is Kapur's legacy?

Kapur?s company, Sona Comstar, confirmed the news of his death in a statement, noting that he passed away due to a sudden heart attack.

The firm paid tribute to his visionary leadership, describing him as a driving force behind the company?s transformation into a global leader.

"His passion, foresight, and relentless commitment to excellence inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with him. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kapur was a devoted father, a mentor to many, and a tireless advocate for India's manufacturing and mobility sectors," the company stated.

Kapur was not only a key figure in India?s manufacturing sector but also an influential presence in British polo circles.

Kapur inherited Sona Comstar from his father, Surinder Kapur, who founded the automotive components business in 1987.

Under his leadership, the company grew into a globally respected brand, pioneering innovation in electric mobility and sustainable automotive solutions.
