Proposed Commanders trade lands star wide receiver not named Davante Adams

We're just six games into the NFL career of Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and it's already very clear the team has something special in the 2024 No. 2 overall pick.

Knowing that, the Commanders have to be aggressive in building around him while he's still on a rookie contract. Granted, Daniels still has four years left on his deal after 2024, but Washington looks ready to compete right now after a 4-2 start.

And what better way to build around a young quarterback than to give him more weapons to throw to. Washington has Terry McLaurin, who is awesome, but the Commanders don't have reliable options behind him.

With that in mind, Bleacher Report's David Kenyon has suggested a trade that would land the Commanders Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver, Tyreek Hill.

The vision of Hill storming down the field to catch a perfectly thrown pass from Daniels is enticing, too. It wouldn't be cheap?both in dead money and the cost in the range of a first-round and third-round pick?but this absurd idea doubles as a really, really intriguing one.

Hill would be a fantastic fit for the Commanders. The veteran wideout can make an impact from anywhere on the field, including deep, where we've already seen Daniels excel with his immaculate deep ball.

While the Commanders have the future draft capital and cap space to pull off such a move, the problem with the proposal is the Dolphins' willingness to actually trade Hill. It remains unclear if that's even on the table for them.

On the surface, it's possible, as the Dolphins are on the road to nowhere as long as Tua Tagovailoa is sidelined and the team doesn't upgrade its quarterback situation. Adding to that, Hill will be 31 next year and there's no telling how many good years he has left, so Miami might want to get something for him before he declines.

But the Dolphins will certainly wait things out until the deadline before making a decision on Hill. It only makes sense for the 2-3 Dolphins to see what happens over the next three games and if they can make a run once Tua is healthy, whenever that might be.

That said, if things continue to go south for the Dolphins and Tua's isn't able to return soon, it's not outlandish to think Miami could part with Hill.
