NFL power rankings Week 7: Indianapolis Colts rising after divisional win

It may not have been pretty, but the Indianapolis Colts (3-3) found a way to gut out a victory over the Tennessee Titans (1-4) in Week 6.

Coming off another loss in Duval County, the Colts needed to get back into the win column. They held out Anthony Richardson (oblique) for another week, but and he's expected to make his return in Week 7, barring a setback.

Without Jonathan Taylor (ankle) for a second consecutive game, the Colts leaned on Joe Flacco and the passing game. This led to big games from slot receiver Josh Downs (7-66-1) and Michael Pittman Jr. (3-35-1).

The defense held Will Levis to 95 yards on 27 pass attempts, but they struggled to contain Tony Pollard (17-93-1) on the ground.

NFL power rankings Week 7

After bouncing back against a division opponent for the first time this season, the Colts received a nice bump in the power rankings entering Week 7, according to Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News.

21. Indianapolis Colts 3-3 (25)

"Joe Flacco is fearless in putting the ball in the air, and it's his show without the running of Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Anthony Richardson (oblique). That said, the Colts really need to have their rushing backfield back soon," Iyer wrote.

Flacco completed 22-of-38 passes for 189 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a 77.6 passer rating. It was far from a perfect day, and Flacco had a handful of bad misses. But he made big plays when it mattered most.

Meanwhile, the Colts played solid situational football as the Titans committed 11 penalties for 113 yards.

Up next will be a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins (2-3) coming off a bye week without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
