Omtatah Recounts His Last Moments with Kibet Bull Before He Went Missing: "Didn't Express Fear"

When did Kibet Bull meet Okiya Omtatah?

In a press statement on Thursday, December 26, Omtatah confirmed that Kibet visited his office on December 24.

"Kibet visited my office between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm on Tuesday, December 24, in a bid to introduce himself and to explore how he could join my team. He informed me that he is a very big supporter of the work I do and that he had travelled to Nairobi from Nakuru just to meet me before flying out,? Omtatah stated.

According to Omtatah, they chatted at length, but during their discussion, Kibet did not express any fear for his life.

After the meeting, Omtatah's driver drove Kibet to Kencom bus station, where he boarded a bus to Kikuyu.

The human rights activists believe detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations are behind Kibet's abduction.

Omtatah stated that a white Subaru with three occupants trailed Kibet the moment he arrived at his office.

?I strongly believe that Mr. Kibet was tracked and abducted by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations because, as soon as he arrived, my security informed me that they were monitoring a white Subaru, which was mounted with suspected spy communication gadgets used to intercept phone conversations," the Busia senator stated.
