New Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene Prices in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Other Big Towns in Kenya

EPRA announced that super petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices have been reduced across Kenya, with the new rates effective from October 14, 2024

In Nairobi, the price of super petrol has dropped by KSh 8.18 to KSh 180.66 per litre, while diesel now costs KSh 168.06 and kerosene is priced at KSh 151.39

Major towns like Mombasa, Kisumu, and Garissa also experienced price drops, with super petrol now retailing at KSh 177.42 in Mombasa and KSh 185.14 in Garissa

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced new fuel prices that will take effect at midnight on Monday, October 14.

EPRA lowered the prices of super petrol, kerosine, and diesel after the prices for diesel and petrol remained unchanged in July, August, and September 2024.

As earlier reported by TUKO.co.ke, EPRA announced that super petrol prices for October dropped by KSh 8.18 to KSh 180.66 per litre (down from KSh 188.84), diesel prices decreased by KSh 3.54 to KSh 168.06 (down from KSh 171.60), and kerosene prices fell by KSh 6.93 to KSh 151.39 (down from KSh 158.32) per litre in Nairobi.

Fuel price changes in previous months

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that in September 2024, kerosene price dropped by KSh 3.43 to retail at KSh 158.32, with diesel and petrol remaining unchanged to retail at KSh 188.84 and KSh 171.60, respectively.

Notably, the fuel prices for August remained unchanged and continued as they were in July.

EPRA had revised pump prices for July 2024 and reduced the cost of a litre of super petrol from the review in June by KSh 1, diesel by KSh 1.5 and kerosene by KSh 1.3.

In June, super petrol, diesel and kerosene retailed at KSh 189.84, KSh 173.10 and KSh 163.05, respectively, in Nairobi.
