Humphrey Muchuma's roots of greatness

Born and raised in Khalala Village, Webuye West Constituency, Humphrey Muchuma told TUKO.co.ke that he grew up understanding the challenges of rural life.

"Limited resources, scarce opportunities, and the silent cries for help are issues that many ignored., but I was determined to rewrite my story ? and in doing so, rewrite the story of my community," he started.

He attended Moi Forces Academy in Nairobi, where his brilliance in Mathematics and Computer Science set him apart.

His academic journey continued at Moi University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Humphrey went for postgraduate studies in the US, acquiring cutting-edge expertise that would become his arsenal in the fight against poverty and exclusion.

The birth of INUA-AI and Jitume

In a country grappling with unemployment and underdevelopment, Humphrey Muchuma saw opportunity ? not just for himself, but for thousands of others.

He founded INUA-AI, an IT consultancy firm and hub based in Nairobi, where digital innovation becomes a ladder out of poverty.

Among his notable achievements, Humphrey was also the brain behind Jitume, a government-private partnership initiative which offers digital jobs and services to young people.

?Scaling digital training programs is key to ensuring sustainable and long-term economic opportunities for all,? Humphrey explained.

Humphrey transforms schools in Kenya

Through INUA-AI?s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Humphrey has transformed schools across Webuye, Trans Nzoia, and Kapsaret.

Digital literacy programs have been introduced, providing students with desktops, laptops, and tablets.

Hygiene kits have also been distributed to tackle menstrual health challenges among schoolgirls, ensuring that no child?s education is disrupted due to a lack of basic sanitary necessities.

His DR-M Foundation tournament, which awarded over KSh 1 million in prizes to local teams, is another testimony of his commitment to youth development and community spirit.

Humphrey pays fees for needy students

And it doesn?t stop there. Humphrey has been quietly paying school fees for numerous vulnerable students, many of whom would have otherwise dropped out.

?The idea is to help them get some leverage to compete fairly with their peers from privileged backgrounds,? Humphrey shared during an interview.
