Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty passed away in Los Angeles, and the cause of his death is yet to be made public

Renowned R&B singer Rihanna has been thrown into mourning following the death of her dad, Ronald Fenty.

Fenty died at the age of 70.

Fenty's death in Los Angeles from a brief illness was first reported by Starcom Network.

The official cause of death is yet to be revealed.

Sources revealed to a Barbados-based outlet that Fenty?s family was with him around the time of his death.

Photos seen by TMZ showed Rihanna?s brother, Rajad Fenty, arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre on May 28, with reports indicating the singer was also in the vehicle.

Rihanna, who is currently expecting her third child, was born in February 1988 to Fenty and Monica Braithwaite. She is already a mother to sons Rza, 2, and Riot, 1, with A$AP Rocky.

In addition to Rihanna and Rajad, Fenty and Braithwaite are parents to Rorrey.
