Young Man Stranded after Lover Wipes House Clean, Runs Away with KSh 240k: "ameniwachia Ndoo Moja"

Philion Bulegeya doesn't know how to start after returning home, only to find his wife and their household items missing

Bulegeya suspected his wife of two years ran away with the household belongings, leaving him with a few items

The Tanzanian man also noted that his wife had disappeared with their KSh 240,000 savings, which they planned to use to build a house

Philion Bulegeya was on the brink of tears after returning to an empty house, finding all the household items missing.

He neither found his wife nor his possessions, except a few things which she had left behind for him.

How did Bulegeya meet his wife?

Bulegeya recounted the day he met his wife and how they became close friends before they later married.

"I was in a bus when we first met. We exchanged contacts and began to talk on the phone. She was humble and obedient. She had all the reasons to be called a wife. We got married in 2023," Bulegeya said.

Bulegeya admitted that his relationship was no different from others, where, once in a while, they would disagree.

However, he ruled out any form of disagreement that necessitated them to seek a third-party intervention.

Bulegeya opens up on fights with wife

"We argued, of course. There were highs and lows, but we never had such an outburst that forced us to call our parents to mediate or seek counsel. We always worked things out together. We always found a way to solve our issues. She has never gone back to her home because of a disagreement. Our conflicts were just minor," he added.

Despite all that, Bulegeya accused his wife of stealing their household belongings and running away with them, including KSh 240,000.

Efforts to reach his wife on the phone were not fruitful as his wife's phone has been off since she went missing.

"I have called her phone many times. When I arrived home and missed her then I tried to reach her on her cellphone, but to no avail. I went to the police station to report the matter of her disappearance with my household items before I later informed her family. I have asked the neighbours and her friends if they know anything about her whereabouts, but I have not found any answer," he added.

Bulegeya's caution to lovers

Bulegeya said the incident has pushed him back to the drawing board and starting from scratch, as he had nothing left.

He only had one bucket, which his wife had left behind, and with their six-by-six gone, he slept on a mat.

He advised lovers to be careful about whom they date and end up marrying, after suffering a rude shock, two years into his marriage.

Bulegeya cautioned lovers not to get into relationships blindly until they were certain of the people they were in love with and committed to before they found themselves in a similar situation as his.

Murang'a man left with nothing after 20 years

Closer home, in a similar story, a man from Murang'a county was left with nothing after his wife ran away with all their possessions.

Before his wife ran away, Peter Karanja had learned of her dirty little secrets, which hurt him.

His wife was running an illegal business, and when the business crumbled, she ran away with their items.

As though that was not enough, Karanja told TUKO.co.ke that his wife sold their livestock and demolished their structures.
