Responding to the question about him being Matiang'i's running mate, Natembeya disclosed that such discussions have not taken place yet.

While not ruling out deputising Matiang'i, the outspoken Trans Nzoia governor said in politics, anything is possible.

"Me to be deputise Fred Matiang'i 2027? We have not reached there, that is the discussion happening on social media. But everything is possible in politics," Natembeya said.

According to Nambeya, the priority is removing Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration from power.

Natembeya started that he was ready to share his ideas with any leader on how to resolve the issues affecting the country.

"Your today's enemy can be your friend tomorrow, depending on the situation. But what I know is that the situation in the country requires total change. And we must be part of that conversation," he added.

When did Fred Matiang'i arrive in the country?

Meanwhile, Matiang'i jetted back into the country from the United States of America ahead of him officially declaring his 2027 presidential ambition.

On Friday, April 18, Matiang'i was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by several leaders, including Jubilee Party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni.

In a tweet, the Jubilee Party SG suggested that Matiang'i was back in the country to popularise his presidential bid.

Previously, Kioni declared that Matiang'i is the Jubilee Party's presidential candidate for the 2027 election.

Why George Natembeya's life is in danger

In other news, the outspoken Trans Nzoia governor expressed fears for his safety, claiming his life could be in danger.

Speaking on Sulwe FM on Tuesday, April 15, claimed unidentified individuals are targeting him due to his continued criticism of President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza administration.

According to Natembeya, some people connected to the head of state have been training him since he began criticising the government.

However, Natembeya insisted that he would continue speaking out against Ruto's shortcomings, despite the threat he was receiving.

The Trans Nzoia governor dared those unhappy with his criticism of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government to confront him directly instead of sending people to trail him.
