Why were Kasarani men arrested?

Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo were arrested by detectives based in Kasarani after allegedly robbing a client.

A report by the DCI showed that the two advertised their services online and lured unsuspecting men.

A victim accused the two of robbing him at their spa residence along Lumumba Drive, Kasarani.

They allegedly threatened him with a knife before transferring KSh 280,000 from his phone number.

He reported the case, and detectives arrested the two at the Kamiti Prison Area.

A spot check by TUKO.co.ke established that one of the suspects, Mbogo, went by @brownthemodel on TikTok and often shared videos with Wachira.

While the police said that the two suspects passed themselves off as women online, their real-life dressing was also feminine.

One video showed Mbogo leaving a parked white car, wearing pink boots, shorts, a jacket and a hat. When Mbogo first debuted the vehicle, numerous of his followers, who purported to know him, were surprised by his change in fortunes.

Another video showed him dancing to a Kamba song, vigorously shaking his backside.

Mbogo and Wachira were seen with the same white car wearing crop tops. The former donned a miniskirt, while the latter had shorts. They whined their waists and cautioned women, saying:

"Husband snatchers. Hide your husbands."

The two often referred to themselves as Kirinyaga Queens.

Mbogo referred to himself as the Kenyan Bobrisky.

Bobrisky is a Nigerian social media personality who was born a man but transitioned to a woman. He served a six-month jail sentence for abusing the naira.

A snippet of Mbogo?s living room showed a huge, wall-mounted TV, a white TV stand and white seats.

Mbogo's most extravagant show of financial might was when he posted a video with hundreds of thousands of notes.

He counted the money wrapped with rubber bands.

"If you know your worth," he wrote as numerous TikTok users asked him to show them how he makes money.

Numerous Kenyans stumbled on Mbogo?s profile after their arrest, and reacted by saying:

Tiff????:

?Are you the ones who were arrested by the DCI??

Fladdy

?So you have been stealing from fellow men??

Mwalimu wa Math:

?Wueh, so that is the job you were doing??

Irene kiilu:

NADZE:

?What will you do? How can you go sit near Kamiti, surely??
