Here is what Kenyans had to say about the publication:

@NjugunaGeorgeKE said:

"This is commendable, transparency on their finances. Other churches should follow suit cc. @AnglicaninKenya @KenyaKccb @KenyaNCCK They could start an impact fund to finance startups in Kenya like what the Catholic church has but for Kenya only."

@nkobur said:

"CITAM needs to be listed in the Nairobi Stock Exchange. These seems to be high return stocks!"

@MosheOjanga said:

"Transparency at its best. When is the Catholic church publishing theirs?"

@marvin_pap said:

"What about Neno Evangelism Centre."

@__mariacha said:

"But why are KOT angry at this church?, I'm sure if Anglican or Catholic was to do such a breakdown it would probably be 100x more."

@VallarMorrgulis said:

"They have audited books and make their financials public for anyone to access. That's saying something."

@CahoonaMj said:

"Member contributions is not an income. There was no economic activity that generated the said amount."

CITAM pastor Jesse Mwai dismisses claims tattoos are evil

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that CITAM Valley Road lead pastor Jesse Mwai debunked myths about tattoos, dreadlocks and music.

Speaking during a sermon, Mwai said that external appearances and cultural practices do not determine one's Christianity.

He said a tattoo will not take anyone to hell as it does not make one any less spiritual or add to someone's Christianity.

He, however, cautioned the congregants that he was not suggesting they get tattoos, but in some cultures, they are the norm.
