Speaking at the Jeff Koinange Live show on Citizen TV where he appeared as part of a panel, Njugush shared a few reasons why he does not fear for his safety.

Njugush shares why he is bold in his work

The content creator said the first reason he does not fear is that he studied at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), where he did journalism and was taught to be fearless in sharing information.

He revealed that Dennis Itumbi (who was part of the panel) was his senior in school, adding that they (Itumbi and co.) had a play which was different from the one the school wanted them to perform but protested and ended up winning.

Njugush said as an artiste, he only mirrors what society is and said he finds it easy to create because the government does 50% of the work for him.

"Whatever we do ni kio cha jamii, so what I'm doing is not politics," he said.

The comedian also shared his disappointments about how the country chooses its cabinet secretaries, as we never consider technocrats but majorly friends.

He lamented how the government wanted to ensure teachers teaching drama and other co-curricular activities in school have to be TSC compliant, but for Cabinet secretaries, the same rules don't apply.

"For example we have a board chair who is not an engineer, but she's sitting, supervising the engineer. What does that tell us? I think we must walk the talk," he said.

Njugush also criticised the president, vowing to end extra-judicial killings, abductions and corruption, only for the same to become even more rampant under his rule.

He noted that this was the reason behind people showing doubt in their government and has led to even the kids criticising the leaders.

Here are some of the reactions to Njugush's sentiments:

Njugush mimics Butere girls' mistreatment in Nakuru

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported how Njugush created a skit where he was a police officer and had gone to check on the students from Butere Girls' after being 'arrested' over their play.

He named the school Terere Girls, saying they are the students who believe they have it all figured out.

Njugush's wife, Celestine Ndinda, perfectly played the role of a Butere Girls' student in custody as Njugush asked 'the student' the main reason for attending school.
