This week started on a happy note for a couple from Nakuru after their children treated them to a beautiful trip to Mombasa on flights and things turned for the worst for kind matatu crew.

1. Nakuru siblings surprise parents with first-ever flight, holiday to Mombasa

When three siblings landed their first jobs, they knew exactly how to thank their parents ? by flying them to Mombasa for the first time.

Led by 29-year-old Ruth Chepkoech, they gave a sweet treat that included included flights, accommodation, and a scenic SGR ride back to their home.

The family comes from a humble background in Kuresoi North; they inspired many with its message of gratitude and family love.

2. Professor Flies Back Home with Nothing after 48 Years in Canada, Shares His Story: "No Child"

A professor of heuristic education identified as Amos Mabayomije Ishola Awodiya, returned after 48 years in Canada.

In an interview with a cleric, the 80-year-old man in his early 80s shared that he returned empty-handed with no wife or child.

3. Bomet: Emotional moment as ailing woman arrives at husband's burial in ambulance, hospital bed

On November 2, 2021, a Bomet family suffered a huge blow after their parents were involved in an accident and their dad died on the spot.

Although still alive, their mother sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Longisa Hospital where she received treatment.

Mourners could not contain their emotions when the woman arrived to bury her husband in an ambulance. It was even sadder that she was confined to a stretcher bed during the entire funeral service.

4. Meru Man Jailed Until 2039 after Affair with Married Woman Goes South

A 36-year-old inmate from Meru identified as Kirimi was taken to jail to serve a sentence that would see him remain in jail until 2039.

His predicament started when he started an affair with a married woman who often visited him at home. One day, they were caught together by community members, including the area chief and the woman?s husband in the house.

Kirimi claimed he had a prior personal grudge with the chief and the latter used the opportunity to retaliate after a disagreement.

5. Rongai makanga, driver who saved ailing woman sacked from matatu jobs

Telvin Mburu and Benson Kana touched many hearts when they saved ViolNekesa, who fell sick in a matatu but their joy was short-lived as they lost their jobs days after the inspiring incident.

According to the former makanga, they are normally expected to hand over KSh 10,000 and on that day they allegedly gave KSh 13,000 as profits.

Sadly, their matatu was taken and given to other people, which caused Benson to fall ill because his job used to sustain his family.
