Uasin Gishu: UK-Based Woman Builds House for Grandparents Who Raised Her After Parents' Separation

Nora was raised by her grandmother and grandfather in the heart of Uasin Gishu county and she now wants to show them just know how much they mean to her

The young woman said that when her parents parted ways, she was forced to live with her grandparents, who took care of her and paid for a large part of her education

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, she said her grandparents had been pushed to another place that motorbikes could not access so she bought land and built them a house in a decent place

Uasin Gishu: A young woman identified as Nora has gifted her dear grandparents a new house years after they took her into their home.

Why was Nora raised by her grandparents?

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Niora shared that she was left in the home of her grandparents after her parents parted ways tow years ago.

"Both of my parents are now happily married to each other and are doing well. My father helped to pay my school fees but it was my grandmother who raised me and took me to school," she said.

"My parents had a large, flourishing farm and the proceeds helped them to be self dependant. They were, however, pushed further away to he hills when some of their children started subdividing the land for sale,"Nora explained.

After completing her education and moving to the UK for further studies, Nora returned home to say thanks to her grandparents in a big way.

She told TUKO.co.ke that the gorgeous house is a two -bedroom affair; a labour of love that she started in September 2024.

"I felt to share this news to you guys maybe it can motivate someone else especially those who were raised up by their grandparents," she said. .

How did Nora's parents react to the gift?

According to Nora, the family the tow grandparents were excited after elaning that they have a new piece of land in a safer and decent place.

"Where they were it was even difficult for motorbikes to pass through to their homes," said Nora.

"My grandmother was so happy that she broke down crying for her the git as she did not imagine that she would have such a beautiful home," said Nora.

Lady gifts her grandma a new house
